Gold & $SLVE

How the in-game exchange prices gold.

The exchange prices gold against $SLVE from two numbers: how much gold is in circulation in the game, and how much $SLVE is paired as liquidity on Solana. Both move all the time, so the rate does too.

Pricing

  • $SLVE has a supply of 1 billion. A fixed share (0.25%) of the paired $SLVE is treated as backing the whole gold supply. Print more gold and each coin is worth less; deepen the liquidity and each coin is worth more.
  • While the game is small, prices are worked out as if at least 100,000 gold existed, so a few players can't swing the rate wildly.
  • Buy and sell sit either side of that mid price. Selling always pays at least 10% less than buying: if 1,000 gold costs 5,000 $SLVE, selling it back gets you 4,500 or less.
  • The gap widens on its own: by up to 10 points when the gold supply is growing fast (new gold over the last 24 hours), and by up to 5 more when exchange volume is heavy compared with the liquidity. It tops out at 25%.
  • The live quotes, spread and inputs are on the exchange page and in the Buy Gold window in game.

The liquidity figure (200M $SLVE) and the SOL price are placeholders until $SLVE launches. You'll be able to pay in $SLVE or SOL; SOL quotes follow the $SLVE price, with the same spread. Buying gold with $SLVE opens at TGE, together with on-chain settlement. Until then selling gold doesn't credit a $SLVE balance.
