The crew
Slaves
Every slave is a worker, a soldier, a wallet, and an heirloom. Here's how the system works.
Classes
There are three classes. Each rolls with stats that suit a different job:
- Wretch — cheap, slow, low combat. Great for farms, woodcutting, quarry duty. Buy them in stacks early.
- Brute — heavy and tough. Use them for stone, iron, and as bodyguards in the deadzone.
- Skirmisher — fast, average HP, the best stat spread for fighting. Don't waste them on a hoe.
Gender & bloodlines
Every slave is M or F. Put one of each on the same House and after two hours of paired time (while you're online) they'll have a baby slave. Babies render half-scale, can't be assigned to work, and become a regular adult after 24 hours of life. The clock is per-slave — selling or trading a baby doesn't reset it.
The baby's stats come from the parents, not the class. Each stat rolls within ±1 of the parent average. When BOTH parents score 8+ in a stat, the child gets a lineage gift — a near-guaranteed +1, sometimes +2. Both parents 9+ pushes even harder. Chain that across generations and you sculpt a bloodline that beats anything at the auction house.
Stats
Every slave carries five stats, 1-10 each: Heavy Labor, Farming, Combat, Craft, Intellect.
Stats drive job yield. A slave with 10 Heavy Labor deposits ~30% more wood/stone/iron than a stat-5 slave. Farming works the same way for silo produce. Ceiling is +30%, floor never drops the payload below 1 unit — even a lemon carries their weight.
The inspector shows a "best at" line so you don't need to guess. If the top stat is Heavy → Woodcutter/Quarry/Blacksmith; Farming → Silo; Combat → Deadzone escort; Craft → Blacksmith.
Hunger
Hunger ticks down constantly. Below 40 they slow down. At 25 they stop working. At 0 a 24-hour death clock starts.
Feed them: click a slave you own, hit Feed, pick a produce from your inventory. Or assign a Shed slave who'll haul food from your silos and feed your crew automatically.
HP and death
Slaves have HP. They regen out of combat. You can slap your own slaves for free (cost: 1 cruel per kill, 66% chance of a bandage drop). Other players can only hit your slaves inside the deadzone.
Death is permanent. The slave row deletes, the slot opens up. Train your crew, feed them, don't waste them.
Assigning to work
Click any slave you own, then click a building you own. They'll head there and run that building's loop. Silos do farms; Woodcutter hut chops trees; Quarry digs stone; Blacksmith mines iron slowly.
A House isn't a worksite — slaves assigned to a House just wander in front of it and breed if there's a partner. See Buildings.
