Dirt money

Farming

Crops feed your crew, fuel your bandages, and move through the auction house for clean coin. The farm is the most reliable income in the game.

The basic loop

  1. Open the build menu with B, drop a Crop Patch.
  2. Open your inventory, drag a seed onto the patch (or click into the patch with seeds in hand).
  3. Crops grow through four stages. Watered = full speed. Dry = 10× slower.
  4. When a crop hits stage 4 it's ready. Harvest by clicking the cell.

Or: drop a Silo near the patch and assign a slave to it. They'll plant, water, harvest, and deposit on a loop. The Silo's circle shows the radius the auto-farmer reaches.

Crops

Six crops today: wheat, garlic, potato, strawberry, corn, cotton. Each restores different amounts of slave hunger and sells at different prices on the auction house. Cotton is the most valuable per unit — it's the bandage raw material.

Crops grow at 1× when watered and 0.1× when dry. A patch watered through its full life cycle finishes in roughly the same time as a half-dry one finishes a single stage.

Silo boosts

A Silo within range of a Crop Patch makes the crops grow faster. Stack a few silos near a big patch and your auto-farmers crank.

Patches decay

A patch lives 48 hours after you place it (24 if nobody's actively farming it). Plant, harvest, plant again — keep it busy or it dies.

NoteDon't try to till on top of a tree. The placement check will reject it and you'll waste the click. Clear the trees first (or place around them — they make decent shade for your patch).
