From the Slaves Wiki
It's always daytime. The server rolls new weather each time a spell ends, and never picks the same weather twice in a row. Rain and storms water every planted crop on the shore while they last.

Rain and crops
While it rains, every planted cell counts as watered, and stays watered for 1 min 30 s after the rain stops. A wet spell is free growth: plant before the rain. See Farming.
