Cotton Seeds
From the Slaves Wiki
Cotton Seeds grow into Cotton. Plant one per cell of a Crop Patch: stand on an empty cell and press E. A watered cell ripens in 1 h 4 min and gives 1-2 seeds back, so a field pays for its own seed.
Planting
You plant by hand with E or the Hoe. A Silo with seeds stored in it plants for you: its workers sow the crop the silo holds the most seeds of on empty cells nearby.
See Cotton for growth stages and harvest drops, and Farming for the whole loop.
