The forge floor
Crafting
Tools, bandages, armor. If you're not crafting, you're paying the auction house tax. Two craft tables today: the personal craft menu and the blacksmith.
Personal craft (C key)
Press C to open the craft menu anywhere. Left side: your materials. Right side: every recipe.
- Each recipe card shows what it needs vs. what you have. Green pill = enough, red = short.
- Drag a material onto a recipe to highlight which ones use it. Drop it on a card to one-click craft.
- Or just click Craft on any card you can afford.
Tools you can make here:
- Axe — chops trees fast. Without one you can punch trees but it's slow.
- Pickaxe — mines stone and iron. Required for anything but the softest rocks.
- Hoe — used by farmers to till before planting. Slaves on farm duty need one.
- Watering can — keeps crops at 1× growth instead of 0.1×.
- Bandage — heals you in combat. Cotton is the raw material.
Blacksmith (armor)
Raise a Blacksmith building. Stand next to it, press E. The forge UI lets you craft three iron plate pieces:
- Iron Helmet — 20 iron + 10 wood.
- Iron Chest — 40 iron + 20 wood.
- Iron Greaves — 25 iron + 12 wood.
Each equipped piece cuts incoming damage by 20%, multiplicatively. Full set leaves about half the damage through.
Equipping armor
Crafted armor lands in your inventory unequipped. Open the inventory and either:
- Right-click the piece to auto-equip it, or
- Drag it onto the matching slot in the Equipment panel on the left of the inventory.
Equipped pieces render on your sprite in the world. If you die in the deadzone, every equipped piece pops off as loot at your corpse.
